What is a home inspection?
A home inspection is used to evaluate the structural and overall condition
of the property. This is not the same thing as an appraisal, which evaluates
the actual market value of the property. Individuals like home buyers,
sellers, loan officers, real estate agents, etc. require unbiased,
accurate information about the physical condition of the property they are
dealing with, and usually include a contingency in the contract to obtain a
satisfactory inspection report.

Where can I find a qualified home Inspector?
- Ask your real estate agent or mortgage company for a referral
- Get referrals from satisfied customers
- Check your local consumer affairs office
- Look in the local yellow pages under "Building Inspection Services"
